Yamauchi raring to go in New York

Mara Yamauchi is homesick. She has been away from Japan since July - training and racing in Europe and the United States - and can't wait to return with her husband Shige. But first she has to tackle 26.2 miles in the ING New York City Marathon on Sunday.

The Salazar story was a good one. I'll be interested to see if Ritz is running with 'good form' through Central Park. Didn't realise Yamauchi was 37. Same age as Geb. Hope she does well.

Ewen you can watch NYC Marathon on Universalsports but it will cost you 4 dollars.

Rick you obviously don't know Ewen that well if you think he'll fork out 4 dollars!

Rumour has it that Ewen once walked home 30 miles in the snow to save a 2 dollar bus fare. He said it was "base training"!

That's now quite right Scott. Our bus fares have gone up to $3. And it was 9k in a heat wave.
