Thanks Rick

I did give it a try this afternoon but it wasn't easy. Kept messing up the pattern and at one stage I forgot to breathe out on the 5th and 6th stride and continued to breath in causing me to see stars!!

I'll keep trying.

OK Scotty,
Yeah it is a bit hard the first time you do it, but keep trying it gets better!
Try counting 4 breaths in then blow out, then count 4 breaths in etc.
also when you first first start maybe try one minute F/B followed by one minute N/B and continue and slowly build up.
Remember the end result, lower pulse, lower lactate and faster race time, keep working at it, its like the first time you drove a car or bike, at first it seems imposible then after a few times it becomes programmed into your mind and its easy!

Thanks Rick. I'll give it a go. So with the 'ins' on each step, does that mean you're holding your breath a bit at each step? Four 'smaller' breaths in rather than one big breath? I can see how a fast cadence would help with this.

I think on the 7th breath Bear foot runner was going for the beer!

Hello would you mind letting me know which webhost you're using? I've
loaded your blog in 3 completely different internet browsers and I must say this blog loads a
lot faster then most. Can you suggest a good internet hosting provider at a
fair price? Cheers, I appreciate it!
