UPDATED: 2011 Western States 100 Final Mile with Kilian Jornet

"kilian, you're coming back next year?"

"I don't's too flat !"

What can one say but AWESOME!

Kilian Jornet Post-2011 Western States 100 Interview

Ellie Greenwood Post-2011 Western States 100 InterviewEllie Greenwood Post-2011 Western States 100 Interview

Oh what a babe, I'd heard podcasts with Ellie and had this impression of her as a short, slightly stumpy gal with cropped bleached blonde hair!
How wrong can a guy be!
I should have known better!
Because I have women drooling at the mouth on the phone with my sexy voice, only to have them run a 100m faster than a drug crazed Ben Johnson when they see me in real life :0[
Still no running, being patient, plan to start with run-walks on Wed then every other day with cycling sessions in-between for the first week back.
Marius Bakken sent me a personnel email giving his recommendations on how to recover from the calf muscle tear.
He recommends some deep massage every other day and starting back with the run walks, also recommends changing shoes!
Cycle hill sprints and weight and core training.
Sprinted up Selworthy Rd hill until my legs couldn't take any more.
= 46 mins

Apols for not keeping up with your news Rick - I didnt realise you were out of action - hope it doesnt knock a big hole in your season.

Hopefully I can start back with a run-walk session tomorrow, yeah not sure when I will be back into full training and how much fitness will of gone out the window.
Cheers Rick

He looked pretty fresh that last mile, but must have been worried by the number of looks over the shoulder.

Good that you're listening to Marius Rick - hope you're back into it soon.

Cheers Ewen,
First run back later today, fingers crossed!

Hi Rick, was interested in the article on muscular endurance of quads and running economy. Since you posted the link they have changed "quads" for "hamstrings" throughout the article which makes quite a big diffence!
Also, sending you positive vibes about the calf. It's miserable to be injured. Saw you flash past me on your bike on Monday so you're obviously in reasonable nick. Keep your pekcer up. See you soon

it's caused by the passion communicated in the post I browsed. And on this post "UPDATED: 2011 Western States 100 Final Mile with Kilian Jornet". I was moved enough to leave a thought ;) I do have 2 questions for you if you usually do not mind. Could it be only me or does it give the impression like a few of these responses come across like they are coming from brain dead individuals? :-P And, if you are posting on other places, I would like to keep up with everything new you have to post. Would you make a list every one of your social pages like your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?
