by the way i still think it's better to think of driving the knee forward and not up which makes me bounce up to much!

I used to train with a guy who was a pretty handy 800m runner (1:48) and he sang all the time when running. He swore it was good for breathing control but it got pretty annoying when all I could do was manage to breath heavily with the odd grunt thrown in !!! :)

Thanks Rick. I like Gilbert! He's my kind of coach - teaching runners good techniques, but keeping it fun. Way to go!
