Correct Running Shoe Size To Reduce Injury!

Since seeing this video 6 months ago I've increased my shoe size!
Too small a shoe can stop your foot from fully absorbing the shock of landing!
Your arch needs to fully compress and the toes need to expand without restriction to work correctly!
Since upping my shoe size I can now run in much lighter more minimal shoes yet feel less aches and pains in my legs!
Are your shoes too small?

BEAUTIFUL RUNNING FORM
At 4.16 Mile Pace!

Just entered the Penny Lane 10K.
Not done this race since 2003 where I ran 35.15.
Can I match that time?

  1. I'm with you on the shoe thing Rick. I generally go for a half size bigger than my normal shoe, and sometimes this is not enough, particularly when striding out on downhills,

  2. Going up that 1/2 size does make a big difference, I always use to go by having a thumb widths space at the end of the shoe but this is not really enough!

  3. The way you are coming on Rick I reckon you could do that beat that past 10K time running in your jim-jams!

  4. Thanks Scott,
I've got a 5 mile race next week so that should give me a good idea of where we are at!

  6. Your web site appears to be having some
    compatibilty problems in my opera
browser. The content seems to be running off the
webpage pretty bad. If you want you can e-mail me at:

  7. This design is incredible! You obviously know how to keep a
reader amused. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved
    to
start my own blog (well, almost...HaHa!) Great job.
    I
really loved what you had to say, and more
than that, how you presented it.
    Too cool!
