I awoke this morning to find myself 50 years old! It seems to be, the older you get, the faster time flies by. It's just another challenge to get even more drunk and get even faster! HAPPY DAYS:]
I used to worry about getting old, but with you and Pete Magill turning 50 this year, I'm only worried that when I turn 50 in three and a half years and I go up to the next age group you guys will be waiting there ready to kick my buttoot!
I do know the fastest masters here in Japan, generally, are the guys here in their early to mid 50s so I don't expect anything less from you Rick.
Hope you had an ice cold Coopers for me Rick! Welcome to the 'Old Crusty' age-group ;) That's what all the teenage runners call me. Don't know why - I still feel like an immature 30-year-old.
Anyway, keep running strong and showing those in their 20s, 30s, and 40s how to do it. Also those older than you (like me!)
Already?
ReplyDeleteOthers can only dream of bettering their PRs at your age. You should feel privileged.
Maybe it was just a dream and you're still asleep.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Desperado.
Happy Birthday Rick; truly phenomenal racing for anyone, never mind a semi-centenarian!
ReplyDeletekeep living the dream. happy birthday rick

ReplyDeleteIf ever there was a "jolly good fellow" it's you!

Nothing better than improving with age, is there?

ReplyDeleteI am sure that all the british runners in the M50 category are now having nightmares !!
Let's get in the time machine and go back 10 days, so that when I say Happy Birthday! I won't be embarrassingly late.
